We want you to have the best experience at Leicester Comedy Festival and The UK Kids' Comedy Festival. To help you, we have put together a Welcome pack that will be sent out a few days before the Festivals but until then here are something you might like to know about:

Festival Hub

In 2024 we will operate a Festival Hub where acts can you pop in to chat to a member of the Festival team, collect your wristband and pick up a brochure amongst other things. The hub will be located on Jubilee Square.

Wristbands

Your Festival Wristband is your flyering license, but it also gives you discounts in some shops and restaurants, and access to some special events. Some venues will allow you entry to shows with your wristband. This will be dependent on what space is left in the venue. There will be a list of participating venues and a list of places that offer discounts in your welcome pack.

Volunteers

If you need any help promoting or running your show, we can maybe provide volunteers to support you!  Email info@bigdifferencecompany.co.uk for more information or to request some volunteer support.

Accommodation

We have some hotel partnerships that often offer discounts for acts that participate in Leicester Comedy Festival & The UK Kids' Comedy Festival. For the full list of discounts and how to claim them visit our website.

Festival Parties! 

We hold Festival parties every Saturday throughout the Festival which all wristband holders are invited to. The idea of the parties is for everyone to celebrate their hard work together. The parties will take place at the Big Difference from 9.30 pm - late.

Talk to us! 

We understand that being a comedian can be lonely sometimes, especially in a city you don't know. We try to communicate as much as we can about parties, events, places to meet people, to make sure no one feels excluded. However, if you're not sure where to go, what to do before/after your show, talk to us! Our team is here to support you, we'll be able to tell you what's happening on the day you're here, who you can chat to, or help you find the information you need.
